What's in the build

Six pieces, one workflow.

Tickets, attendees, sessions, sponsors, post-event — one stack, no Eventbrite tax.

01 · Tickets & comms

Tiers, codes, waves, waitlists.

Multi-tier tickets, early-bird waves, discount codes, waitlists. Stripe-powered, no platform skim. Confirmation, reminders, and waitlist promotions all on a written sequence.

  • Multi-tier ticketing
  • Early-bird auto-waves
  • Discount-code engine
  • Waitlist promotion logic
02 · Attendee profile

More than a name on a list.

Attendee fills the profile once: dietary, accessibility, sessions of interest, sponsor opt-in. The event runs on it; the next event starts with it.

  • Dietary & accessibility
  • Session preferences
  • Sponsor opt-in capture
  • Year-on-year retention
03 · Session scheduling

Tracks, rooms, capacity.

Session schedule with track filtering, room capacity, speaker bios. Attendee picks; capacity tracked; conflicts surfaced. Schedule pushes to attendee calendar.

  • Multi-track schedule
  • Room capacity tracking
  • Conflict detection
  • Calendar push
04 · Check-in

Door queue moves.

QR check-in via mobile. Door staff sees the live queue, the attendee profile, the dietary flag, the sponsor flag. Latecomers handled. Walk-ins captured properly.

  • QR check-in
  • Live door dashboard
  • Walk-in registration
  • Dietary alert at door
05 · Sponsors & leads

Sponsors get value, not a logo on the lanyard.

Sponsor portal with opt-in lead capture, session-level engagement, post-event report. Attendees scan for content; sponsors get the lead trail. The renewal conversation starts halfway through the event.

  • Sponsor portal
  • Lead capture by scan
  • Session engagement
  • Renewal data pack
06 · Post-event

Survey, attribution, retention.

Survey out same day. Attribution: how they heard, what converted. Retention: who comes back, who doesn't, what changed. The next event isn't planned from scratch.

  • Same-day survey
  • Conversion attribution
  • Year-on-year retention
  • Cohort retention curves
Sample engagement

The training provider that ditched Eventbrite and found 18% margin.

12 events a year. 200 attendees each. Three platforms.

A UK training provider used Eventbrite, Mailchimp, and a CRM that didn't talk to either. Platform fees ate 18% of ticket revenue. We shipped a custom event app on Stripe, with email comms and CRM-sync built in. Six months in: platform-fee saving funded the build twice over, year-on-year retention up from 34% to 51%, sponsor retention 100%.

How we measure: Platform fees measured against Eventbrite invoices (n = 4 events post-build), retention measured as % of last-year attendees who registered for next year, sponsor retention measured as % of sponsors renewing for the next event.
