Use case · Warehouse & shipping

The warehouse runs on one screen. The carriers know what time it is.

Pick lists, bin locations, carrier labels, pack verification, dispatch — all in one operator view. We integrate Royal Mail, DPD, ParcelForce, Evri, plus your storefront (Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon). The picker doesn't tab between four tools.

What's in the build

Six pieces, one workflow.

Pick, pack, label, ship — one operator screen, one bin location source of truth, every carrier wired in.

01 · Pick list

Wave-picked, route-optimised, scan-verified.

Orders waved into pick lists by zone. Pickers move the shortest path through the bins. Scan verifies SKU at the bin and at the pack station — wrong-pick errors drop to near zero.

  • Wave by carrier cutoff
  • Route-optimised by zone
  • SKU scan at bin
  • Pick error rate dashboard
02 · Pack station

Right item, right box, right label.

Pack station shows the order, the items expected, the recommended box size, and prints the carrier label on confirm. Photo capture optional for high-value SKUs.

  • Items expected vs scanned
  • Box-size recommendation
  • Auto label print on confirm
  • Photo capture on high-value
03 · Carrier integrations

One queue, every carrier.

Royal Mail, DPD, ParcelForce, Evri, UPS — all wired in. Carrier picked by service, weight, postcode, cost. Manifest auto-generated end of day. Tracking pushed back to the storefront.

  • Multi-carrier rate-shop
  • Manifest end-of-day
  • Tracking back to storefront
  • Service-level fallback
04 · Bin & stock

One bin location source of truth.

Stock lives at a bin. Receive, putaway, count, move — all logged. Cycle counts daily. Stock count reconciles to the storefront and to Xero in one direction.

  • Bin-level stock
  • Cycle count workflow
  • Storefront sync
  • Xero stock value sync
05 · Returns

RMA, inspect, restock or scrap.

Customer raises return; the warehouse sees the inbound. Inspect, photo, decide: restock, scrap, or refurb. Refund triggers off decision, not off receipt.

  • RMA inbound queue
  • Inspect-and-decide
  • Photo evidence trail
  • Refund trigger rule
06 · Operator view

The shift, in numbers.

Live: orders waiting, picks per hour, errors, late dispatches, by picker. The supervisor doesn't walk the floor to know if the shift's behind.

  • Live orders-pending
  • Picks-per-hour by operator
  • Late-dispatch flag
  • End-of-shift export
Sample engagement

The DTC brand that doubled throughput without hiring.

1,800 orders a week. Four pickers. A spreadsheet manifest.

A homewares DTC brand was capped at ~1,800 orders/week with four pickers using the storefront's native fulfilment screen. We built a wave-pick app on top of their Shopify, integrated Royal Mail and DPD, added scan verification and carrier rate-shop. Six weeks in: 3,400 orders/week with the same headcount, pick error rate from 1.8% to 0.3%, dispatch cutoff hit consistently for the first time.

How we measure: Weekly throughput tracked from Shopify (n = 24 weeks pre/post), pick error rate measured by post-dispatch returns coded as wrong-item, dispatch cutoff measured against carrier collection time.
