“Our booking system used to be a spreadsheet and a phone. Now we know who has paid a deposit before they sit down.”
Work
Three engagements across hospitality, defence manufacturing, and hospitality again. Different sectors, same shape: a real business with an operational problem that no off-the-shelf SaaS fits.
“Our booking system used to be a spreadsheet and a phone. Now we know who has paid a deposit before they sit down.”
Dossiers
Problem
Front-of-house was running on a spreadsheet and a cordless phone. Double-bookings on Friday night. No deposits. No way to know which bookings were real.
Build
A custom booking system on Stripe with deposit rules, SMS reminders, and an admin dashboard for menu/offers/discounts/images. Owner signs in from her phone.
Outcome
No-show rate went from 6% to under 1% in the first month. Deposits recovered the build cost inside a quarter.
“Our booking system used to be a spreadsheet and a phone. Now we know who has paid a deposit before they sit down.”
Problem
Engineering resource planning lived across spreadsheets, emails, and heads-of-department memory. No single view of supply vs demand. New projects booked without knowing capacity.
Build
A custom resource planning system ("Forward Load") deployed on-prem with SSO into client IT infrastructure. Project managers submit resource demand; heads of department allocate; an analytics view shows supply/demand gaps and supports scenario modelling.
Outcome
Resource planning moved from monthly spreadsheets to a live view. Capacity conflicts get surfaced before projects commit.
“The forward-load view is the first thing our heads of department open on Monday morning. Resource decisions happen faster than they ever did in spreadsheets.”
