Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 March 2026

About these terms

These terms govern your use of the PYJ Advisory website (pyjadvisory.com) and any services we provide. By using this site or engaging our services, you agree to these terms. PYJ Advisory is a trading name operating from 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.

Our services

PYJ Advisory provides technology consulting services including website development, software development, AI integration, and operational tools for businesses. The specific scope, timeline, and cost of any project will be agreed in a separate proposal or statement of work.

Proposals and acceptance

We will provide a written proposal before starting any paid work. A project begins when you confirm acceptance of the proposal in writing (email is fine). Any changes to scope after acceptance may affect the timeline and cost, which we will discuss with you before proceeding.

Payment terms

  • We typically require a deposit before work begins (usually 50%), with the balance due on completion.
  • Payment terms are 14 days from the date of invoice unless otherwise agreed.
  • All prices are quoted in GBP and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
  • Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Intellectual property

  • Upon full payment, you own the custom code, designs, and content we create for your project.
  • We retain the right to use general techniques, knowledge, and non-confidential elements of the work in future projects.
  • Any third-party tools, libraries, or assets used in your project remain subject to their own licences.
  • We may include your project in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

Your responsibilities

For us to deliver on time, we need you to:

  • Provide content, assets, and feedback within agreed timeframes.
  • Give us access to any accounts or platforms we need.
  • Designate a single point of contact for decisions.

Delays caused by late provision of materials may affect the delivery timeline.

Limitation of liability

  • We will do our best work, but we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including loss of profit, data, or business opportunity).
  • Our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

Confidentiality

We will treat any information you share with us as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties without your permission, except where required by law.

Cancellation and termination

  • Either party may terminate a project by giving 14 days written notice.
  • If you cancel, you will be invoiced for work completed up to the date of cancellation.
  • If we cancel, we will refund any payment for work not yet delivered.

Website use

  • The content on this website is for general information only and is not advice.
  • We make reasonable efforts to keep the site accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee this.
  • We are not responsible for the content of external sites we link to.

Governing law
